At Gojo, dining is as much about the experience as it is about the food. Here, traditional communal eating takes center stage. Guests share large platters, bringing everyone together to savor dishes served atop the beloved injera — a spongy, sourdough-like flatbread that perfectly complements the various stews and sides. As one satisfied customer described it, "the texture is like what they use for crepes, if crepes were spongy." This immersive style transforms each meal into a social affair, encouraging interaction and laughter, making it an excellent spot for friends or family gatherings.
The menu has something for everyone, from satisfying breakfasts featuring scrambled eggs seasoned with tomatoes and jalapeños to hearty sides like Gomen (braised collard greens) and Yemisir Key Wat (spicy lentils), each priced at a wallet-friendly $4.99. For those in the mood for comfort food, indulgent pasta options are also available, like spaghetti served with savory tomato or meat sauces.
Among the standout highlights are the juicy lamb tips and traditional beef dishes, frequently praised for their succulent flavors. With delightful recommendations from the staff, including the affable Cola, diners can navigate the menu with ease. As one review notes, "Get ready to get your hands dirty and lick your fingers clean!" — a testament to the tasty, hands-on experience that is characteristic of Ethiopian dining.
The atmosphere at Gojo is intimate and inviting. Dim lighting and the soft sounds of Ethiopian music create a cozy ambiance that enhances your dining experience. Patrons often comment on the warm, familial service they receive, making them feel right at home.

They have wonderful food!! It's community eating with your table, so everyone gets food off of one big plate. I absolutely love the injera bread! It reminds me of sourdough, but the texture is like what they use for crepes, if crepes were spongy. I reccomend getting one of the stews with your meal. The cook came out and showed us to pour the stew on the injera, and it was definitely my favorite part. Great place to bring friends and enjoy something different. We've been twice and our friends love the place. I just bought another Groupon to go again. Our waitress, Cola, was great. We had her both times. The place has never been full when we go there. I'm going to take another group of friends here soon. The setting is low lit and they have what I believe is Ethiopian music usually playing. There were a few pieces of pop music mixed in with it. I definitely recommend going to this place. Everyone I've taken has thoroughly enjoyed it (we're all college students) and have loved the food!

The juicy lamp tips are so delicious!! Get ready to to get your hands dirty and lick your fingers clean! Thanks to our awesome host Cola who totally treated us like family. It was our first Ethiopian experience. The chief was literally like our mom. She came out and greeted us and made sure we enjoyed our meal!

These ladies are fabulous!! Loved the bread, the lamb and their trafitional beef. Fun non traditional date night if you are wanting to try something new! P.S. Get the honey wine, it will not disappoint.

I had this place through a Groupon! (Check out the 124 reviews over there for a better summary of this place) Every time I've went in it hasn't been to busy, the waitress is wonderful I believe Cola was her name, she attended to everyone with perfect speed! I wouldn't describe this atmosphere has "Rundown" it's a quant little mom and pop shop that's homie. Definitely give this place a shot. Their injera bread is fantastic! Service is great and the place is very welcoming and homie

This place was amazing my wife and I went just to try something different. When we entered didn't know what to think it looks like a bar, but then was created by Kola she was the hosted and the waitress and bartender. Quiet place, we didn't know what to get so Kola explained what was good and gave her recommendations. What she recommended was amazing. The food was great she was great. If we lived in town we would come back more often.

I have no idea what these people are talking about with some pretty intense and overblown criticism. I’m not Ethiopian but I’ve been eating this stuff for 12 years now. Regularly. I’ve tried Ethiopian food all over the country and this place deserves its respect. We had the kitfo, beef tibs, and veggie combo dish and I’ll tell you, gooood good. The beef itself melted in your mouth with that buttery marinade. Everything was so good all together. So, please be fair when reviewing this place.

The beef sambusa is absolutely DIVINE! and the Beer was delicious I recommend the Bozena Shiro and the Veggie combination The lamb and beef are well seasoned and the atmosphere is cozy, but one kick back is they are closed on tuesdays now! I found out by driving almost 2 hours to discover that ...

The food was great and we felt catered to it was really nice. The server made sure we knew what we were ordering and it is under new ownership at the moment so the menu is being recreated. Their kitchen was also open til close so it will definitely beat your other late night munchy options.
